Salon. Not so bad after all.

Metrosexuality is all the rage it seems. Is this a good article, or is Salon really going to the shitter as they say? I don't know why they would say that, actually.

This article on cam girls is a little disgusting. I am not really disgusted that little girls are showing skin for presents, exactly, but that losers are giving them presents. Hell, I don't even pay women to dance for me when I am in a strip joint. Of course, I am only there because of the somewhat-outdated tradition of going there as part of a bachelor party weekend, an apparently annual event. These presents aren't things like jeans or makeup. We're talking about high-end digital cameras, trips and very expensive clothes. It's almost enough to make me rethink my position on porn.

Now some assholes in the US are trying to deny video games the right to free speech, since they somehow do not count as speech. Porn is protected. Crappy gore fests from Hollywood are protected. But not video games? This I am taking personally.

Ultimate Victory

Tuesday night's ultimate game was a doozy. So far, we dominate teams that play a man defense. Just kill them. The two games we have lost were to teams that play a zone defense-offense. Our opposition: R2Disc2, man defense.

We scored first, but they came back with 3 points. By halftime it was 8-3. It would go to 10-3 right after halftime. They did the same thing point after point: a long pass into the endzone after they made some cut that wasn't even spectacular. Good passes, but we should have knocked down every one of them. But then we turned it on.

We solved this team big time. We went on a 12-3 run, knocking down passes, handblocks, countouts, the whole deal. We took that game 15-13. And boy it was sweet. Not only that, but they gave us a 5/5 for spirit where all other teams give us 3. Did I mention that at 12-7 I was injured and had to leave? But I made a recovery and went back in at 12-12.

Whenever we play at the Douglas hospital in Verdun, we like to go for dinner and drinks at a little restaurant called Jawnies. It has some good food, and Stewart's sodas, and although Nancy the waitress wasn't there that night it was still quite fun. Now there was some stuff that I was going to talk about here, but I won't just yet. Let's just say that much fun was had after the game.
